pip (籽)

Pips (seeds) are frequently used in medicinal tonics all over the world. Lian Zi, the Lotus pip, tonifies the Spleen, Kidneys, and Jing. Nourishes the Heart, and Calms the Spirit.

Dried lotus pips can be cooked in soups, congee, and medicinal drinks. Lian zi is famous for calming insomnia, anxiety, and irritability.
